GEO and AEO explained

AEO is answer-box visibility in classic search; GEO is how you appear in AI-assistant composed answers.

AEO is visibility in the answer boxes classic search engines show. GEO is whether, and how, you are described in the composed answers an AI assistant gives.

How the two relate

Both are measured for you and your tracked competitors, and they overlap heavily with AI readiness, since all three come back to the same underlying question: is your public record structured and substantial enough to be retrieved and repeated accurately.

What it does not do

There is no manipulation trick that reliably improves either one and keeps working. The honest path to a better GEO or AEO reading is the same as the honest path to better search visibility generally: clearer, more substantial public content.
