Competitor domain will not resolve
Most cases are a typo in the domain. Check the spelling before anything else.
You tried to add a competitor and Vyera told you the domain could not be resolved.
Most common cause: a typo in the domain
Check the domain carefully for typos, extra spaces, or the wrong extension, such as typing .com when the competitor actually uses .co. This accounts for most cases.
Other causes, by how often they happen
Note
These are ordered by frequency. Work through them in order rather than jumping to the last one.
- You entered a full page path instead of the homepage. Use the root domain, such as
example.com, rather than a specific page on the site. - The domain redirects somewhere Vyera cannot follow, such as a login wall or a country-specific redirect.
- The site is very new, temporarily down, or the domain is not yet pointing anywhere.
If none of this fixes it
Send the exact domain you tried to add to the team using the request option below. That is normally enough for us to check it directly.
