Reading a competitor's creative history
How long a creative has run is the real signal, since a long-running ad is one real spend has already validated.
How long a creative has run is the real signal, more than the creative itself.
Why duration matters
An ad that keeps running has been validated by real spend over time. One that appears and vanishes quickly usually failed to earn its place in rotation. The timeline shows each creative per platform with a first-seen and last-seen date, so you can tell the two apart at a glance.
A burst of new creatives often precedes a launch. A shift in who an ad seems to target is frequently the earliest public sign of a competitor repositioning, often visible here before it shows up anywhere else.
What it does not do
Creative history does not show performance, such as clicks or conversions, or targeting details beyond what the ad platform itself publishes. It shows what ran and for how long, not how well it worked.
