Data retention periods
Most data is kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days after, with backups purged within 90 days. Billing records are kept for six years.
These are the retention periods in our Privacy Policy and DPA. For how long data stays visible to you day to day, see Data retention reference instead.
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Account data and Customer Content | Kept while active. Deleted or anonymised within 30 days of deletion or the export window ending, backups purged within 90 days |
| Connected account data, including Google user data | Kept while connected. Deleted within 30 days of disconnection, backups within 90 days. Access and refresh tokens deleted immediately on disconnection |
| Billing records | 6 years, per UK tax law |
| Support communications | Up to 24 months after resolution |
| Technical logs | Up to 12 months |
After you cancel
Cancelling is a billing change, not immediate deletion. You have 30 days to request an export of your content and outputs; after that, we delete on the schedule above. See What happens to your data after cancellation.
Notes
We may keep data longer where the law requires it or to resolve a dispute. Aggregated or anonymised data that no longer identifies you, your business or any individual falls outside these periods (Terms, section 10).
