Why a recommendation changed
A recommendation only changes because its underlying evidence changed, never on a fixed timer.
A recommendation only changes because its underlying evidence changed, not on a fixed schedule.
The three reasons
Either the evidence behind it strengthened or weakened as new data came in, your own inputs such as your company profile improved and shifted the comparison, or you acted on it and the freed-up slot went to the next highest-priority recommendation.
What it does not do
A recommendation that has vanished usually means the window behind it closed, sometimes because a competitor moved into that space first, which is itself worth knowing quickly. It does not change simply because time has passed; nothing here runs on a timer.
